About Take Art

Take Art promotes performance and participation in Somerset.

Take Art is an organisation for the 21st Century. A social enterprise with guiding values and prinicipals, which occupies the space between the public domain and private enterprise.

Our Mission is to produce, promote and facilitate participation in the arts and to continually explore innovative ways in which artists can work with communities to help them thrive. Take Art is therefore driven by both an artistic and social agenda.

Take Art Aims to:

Make arts experiences of the highest quality accessible to all communities within Somerset

Create opportunities within the county for artists and their work to flourish

Develop new opportunities for individuals to participate in as well as observe, appreciate and enjoy the arts.

Promote the arts as an agent of development and change for both individuals and communities

Foster links with participatory and other agencies working on a regional and international level, as well as a local level.
